Great way to handle this and hope they resolve your problem.  I was lucky I had another computer with Facetime 1.0.2 and simply deleted 1.0.4 and moved 1.0.2 over.  Hopefully they will even acknowledge the problem, so far nary a word.

You are a faker.  Never said Adobe was Apple's problem.  Adobe screwed up and they immediately bit the bullet and told us what to do and that they would be working o a FIX.

What has Apple said?  Nothing, because they have made no comment.  Working for Apple seems to be your cover.

There is no conspiracy, it's just lack of concern on Apple's part as you said they failed to TEST.

    Cut the crap.

Apple isn't saying anything probably because they aren't aware of any issues with FaceTime.

Apple can or can't be concerned about something they may or may not be aware of.

Users who post issues in a troubleshooting forum represent a small minority of users having issues with their Apple products.

That is why I posted in an earlier response to use Apple Feedback to make them aware that users using older versions OS X are having issues with the new FT version.

And I posted this suggestion in other recent FaceTime problem related posts, as well.

    I posted a feedback/bug report.

You certainly can do the same.

    http://www.apple.com/feedback/

If your issues with the new FaceTime version is of this great importance to you, then submit a bug report of the issues you are having to add to their awareness or lack of awareness of the issue.

Can any of you guys who have version 1.0.2 make it available for download somewhere?

There is no way (I tried everyting) to get 1.0.4 to work. There is a serious issue with 1.0.4:

4/15/14 8:34:38 PMimagent[220]Unable to create APS daemon connection: (os/kern) failure
4/15/14 8:34:38 PMimagent[220]Unable to get public token: (ipc/send) invalid destination port
4/15/14 8:34:38 PMimagent[220]Unable to set enabled topics: (ipc/send) invalid destination port
4/15/14 8:34:38 PMimagent[220]Unable to get public token: (ipc/send) invalid destination port
4/15/14 8:34:38 PMimagent[220]Unable to get public token: (ipc/send) invalid destination port

I have no means to revert back to version 1.0.2 and Apple is not addressing the issue it seems ....

I did, but waiting for the update will take time ... and I need to send the MacBook out to my parents in law so they can see their grandchild .... very unfortunate, I should never have updated FaceTime ....

Oh yeah - by all means - go back to a PC. I work on a PC all day long. Today I had to reboot because Explorer got hung up and everything came to a screeching halt. Rebooted. Took 45 minutes for reboot to complete and system to come back up (with the "Restore Active Desktop" error which, even when you click on it, does not restore the active desktop). This is not something that happens only occasionally either. I have never had to reboot my Mac.

And what PC has a quality built-in camera/mic, etc. so you can use Skype (use it well) without any peripherals? Even the Skype website recommends that you use a headset for the best experience.

So, yeah - by all means - go back to a PC. They are sooooo advanced.

    Hi Marin,

You might want to contact Apple Support on this to see if they can offer any help. If you click on the Applications and Other Software Topics, then on Topic Not Listed, then put in a short description of the issue, it will take you to a screen that will allow you to set up a call with Apple.

Don't know if they will be able to help, seeing as this release appears to have a serious problem but it can't hurt to try....

    Best of luck,

Sit on it.  Over 2000 notes have been sent to Apple and no reply.  You are a faker.  You are not going to get a free Apple nor a promotion.  I explained how to fix problem, mine is fixed with old software.

Apple won't reply, they don't care.  When they put out new software, they don't let you d/l old stuff.  Fortunately I had the old on another computer and transferred it.

I don't think your going to get anything constructive going with this troll.

There isn't any doubt that the Mac is on a superior operating system and you can see it with all the copying being done by the cheap competition.

To have someone get onto a forum and beat it up like a denier missing the part of the brain that lets science reveal truth only gets us into the belief vs. fact realm. Lets not go there.

As I mentioned earlier isn't an easy fix for this recent Facetime upgrade corrupting Facetime just to use Time Machine? The clown troll did basically the same thing by dragging and dropping (another Apple ino) from another computer.

Unfortunately it seems the App Store jumped the gun and released version 4. I had to update my OS to Mavericks to get version 3 which is built into the OS.

    You're right.

Somtimes I really get frustrated with these "special"  types of "persons"

My initial responses to this user were calm and civil and rational, and I took the "higher" road with my responses, but he kept coming back with rude comments and unwarranted attitude and I let it get to me.

I should have a thicker skin, by now, with these types of users to just "let it go"

This is not the first time and I am sure this won't be the last time I will be tested, like that. in these forums.

I wil keep trying to stay more calm, collected and more of a professional here as I am in my own business dealings in my own life.

Thank you for pointing this out and calling me out on this.

    Some days....
