Q: I down loaded new operating system.  Now all that comes up is a symbol of the plug in connector with an arrow pointing to the i-tunes symbol.  The i-pad is locked up.  What do I do?

I tried this three times as it says in the instructions.  I get the symbols to come up but it does not ask me anything.  The i-pad seems locked up at that point.  When I did this the i-pad was off.  I held the home button and plugged it in.  The Apple symbol came up and then the cord-arrow-i-tune symbols came up and that was it.  I shut off the i-pad and tried again and again got the same result.

No idea what is on the i-pad.  My computer is a Dell so no help there.  I have another i-pad but how would you connect the two?

I down loaded i-tunes to my Dell.  It says thank you for downloading i-tunes but it is not on the computer.  i tried three times and each time says thank you but it is not there.

I pushed the button that said "down load".  It came back saying "thank you for downloading itunes.  Where do I find an install file to execute?

I will be gone for afew days now.

I connected to a computer with iTunes.  The restore worked.  iCloud backup wanted to use the data on the computer we were connected to.  Wrong backup.  Apple tech walked me through how to get the right iCloud back up.
