Q: I cannot send out email from my Talktalk account.
I'm having problems sending out emails using a Talktalk account. Messages go straight into the awaiting outbox. If I re open them and change the Talktalk address to another email account it is sent without a problem. My Talktalk account when used on either my Mac Book or G5 work okay.
If I follow Talktalks set up guide and delete and then attempt to reinstall their setting I do not have the IMAP option they show as an alternative.
Any help would be most appreciated as it is beyond Talktalks capability to assist.

I cannot express my thanks deeply enough for the help you've given me. The problem was certainly the absence of the password although it was shown as being optional. I had made sure that my primary server was selected correctly but was convinced the problem lay with using Pop instead of IMAP settings.
I can now return to using my email address of choice and not have to use another.
You're a Star. I guess this is related to the update to the iPad's OS.
