Apr 20, 2014 12:42 PM in response to Marshall150by snozdop,Going from connected to unconnected is totally normal if there isn't some actual Bluetooth activity going on between the two devices (such as transferring a file, streaming some music).
The devices only remain connected during Bluetooth activity, not when there's nothing going on.

Nov 23, 2014 8:38 PM in response to 1166daveby rbrown81,Although snozdop is in fact correct, there are definitely some software related issues in regards to bluetooth connectivity between the two platforms, android and os x. The OP has a valid issue and the problem isn't just the norms of bluetooth! If you can't tell, I'm having the same problem now haha.

Nov 23, 2014 8:52 PM in response to Marshall150by rbrown81,★HelpfulYour problem may be that you don't have bluetooth sharing enabled under the sharing section within system preferences on the Macbook.
Open system preferences > Select the tab labeled "Sharing" > Check the box next to "Bluetooth Sharing" > under the section "When receiving items:" select the option "Accept and Save" > Chose where to save those files to when receiving them from the device in the box below > Additionally, I enabled the "Always Allow" option under "When other devices browse:" > and then selected the folders I wanted to allow other devices to browse but that's up to you. I had to much time on my hands tonight but hope this helps some one whose confused when it's not as seamless as it appears (I ran into the same issue)!

Oct 28, 2015 2:45 AM in response to rbrown81by Limeyinkl,Many thanks indeed for the help - you've saved me hours of wasted time. Bluetooth is now transferring perfectly in both directions (Mac to Phone and Phone to Mac). Of course it's obvious the Bluetooth transfer controls are kept in the Sharing folder, not the Bluetooth folder - how could I have missed that!

Nov 8, 2015 6:00 AM in response to rbrown81by martin from,Thanks this sorted out my Samsung S3 i9305 LTE connection. In Snow Leopard I never had this problem but Apple being Apple make changes without ever letting us, the customers, know how to resolve anything, let alone just leaving what works alone.
