2. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

Nov 24, 2013 7:10 AM in response to gerardandmaryby Paulaski,I had this problem too. I would take a photo with the default Apple iPhone 5s iOS7 app, try to send it to myself (and others) from the Photo app by email, and I'd hear the Sent whoosh, but I woud never get the email, nor would any other recipients.
I reset the network settings, did a soft reset, the whole routine. Finally, I got Apple Support to call me. The tech guy had me delete my Gmail app, then do the soft reset, then turn the phone off and leave it off for about 2 minutes. I then reinstalled the Gmail app, set it up again, and now I'm able to send photos again from within the Photos app.
We'll see if the good news persists.

Dec 9, 2013 10:09 AM in response to Paulaskiby Patrick Lafferty,I've had this same problem with the last three operating systems. I can always send a pic from within a text, but never share the pic from within the photos app.
ugh
first world problem, to be sure, but would like a fix if anyone knows one.

Dec 19, 2013 6:56 AM in response to gerardandmaryby Squidgeybum,I might actually, for once, have an answer here. All of the above helped me work through EXACTLY the same problem the OP had - it asked me to set up a new Google account, then told me that it was already there. . .
I do NOT use Mail - EVER - and had turned it off in my settings at some point over the past few months. I suspect there may be others like me who use the gMail app rather than Mail.
So just by chance I happened to be in Settings/ Mail, Contacts etc/ Gmail and noticed Mail was turned off. I turned it back on and went back to the photo I was trying to email and it sent first time without having to even turn the phone off and on again.
I REALLY hope this helps someone - I have never been able to offer an answer before.

Jan 16, 2014 7:38 PM in response to Squidgeybumby jaminhubner,I had same problem. I installed gmail app and disabled native mail app, and I can't send any photo using the share option in my iphone. I renabled the mail app under settings and it started working again...though I'm not sending through gmail...

Feb 9, 2014 9:25 AM in response to Squidgeybumby Jhqbraille,Well, I never posted before, but I must congratulate you on a resolution for this problem! So far, you were the only one who solved the issue, and I just wanted to thank you.

Mar 15, 2014 8:52 PM in response to gerardandmaryby mpelland,I had the same problem. My only options were message, twitter, and Facebook. What I did was I copied the pictures that I wanted to send, went to mail, pasted the pictures into an email and sent it. What I did not expect to find was that mail is now an option for me when I choose "next" after selecting several pictures. It seemed to take care of the problem.

Apr 22, 2014 3:01 PM in response to gerardandmaryby Ezzyme,★HelpfulWhat I (and maybe a lot of other people) didn't know was that Apple, in there infinite wisdom, drops the Mail icon from your share menu when the selected pics exceed the servers email size limit. No explanation, no option to control, the Mail icond just disappears, leaving me (and everyone else) to wonder why? What happened? What is wrong with my iPhone? Apple, thank you for the frustration of wondering why and trying to figure this out. Please, next time just let me adjust the pic size when I get to Mail like I can when I copy and paste into an email.

Aug 17, 2014 7:01 PM in response to Ezzymeby harley911,I have read all the help on here but I have the problem of when I select the photo ico then the VIDEO that I want to send I then click the little blue icon at the bottom left hand corner but I DON'T get the "next" button at the top right hand of the screen like everyone else seems to have, and I can't send videos, it tells me its compressing the video and then when I pick a e-mail address to send it to ie G-Mail and Yahoo it make the that sound like it went through but I never get the video?

Sep 23, 2014 9:49 AM in response to gerardandmaryby valmarie7,I was having this problem too.... then I remembered I had changed my email password (I changed it from my PC). Once I updated the email password on my iPhone, it worked fine and I could email pictures again. Of course this may not be your issue but I thought I'd post this just in case. Needless to say, I am feeling pretty dumb right now

Nov 28, 2014 8:21 PM in response to valmarie7by nftygirl,Is anyone still having the "add account" issue whe. They try to email photos? I am able to send photos through iMessage and SMS straight from the camera roll/album, but not to email. Everything is setup right as far as default accounts, ETc. Annoying issue, but not a huge one.

Dec 9, 2014 7:48 AM in response to Ezzymeby ac96822,Thank you (very, very, very much!) I've been messing with my settings on my phone; the mail and photo apps, and general settings, and couldn't figure out why my phone suddenly was ostracizing the Mail app. I was counting on having this to send some important photos I'd promised my work mates. After trying other suggestions, and getting no where, I was about to head to an Apple store, but read your message, and parceled out the photos through several e-mails instead of just one. This is exactly it; I used to be able to select quite a few photos, and then e-mail them, with no restriction it seemed (at least not on my phone's end, though my e-mail server may've kicked the message back due to quota limitations), but once I split them up, the Mail icon became available again in the Photo app. Either I have a bad memory, or this is a new feature.
Ever since I've uploaded Yosemite on my Mac and iOS 8.1.1 on my phone, it's been one struggle after another. I can't thank you enough for your post!!
