Q: an error occurred while downloading Mavericks how do I install

An error occurred while I downloaded the new system update now I can't install or download it again what do I do ?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)

    Exactly which OS X is currently installed on your Mac?

     

    Your profile indicates v10.8.5.

     

    Click the Apple () menu top left in your screen. From the drop down menu click About This Mac.

     

    The version is noted there.
