Q: I have optimum cable and internet included. Do i need to have my optimum internet inorder for my Airport Express to function?

    The AirPort Express requires a modem with an Internet connection if you want it to be able to access the Internet.

     

    So, if Optimum is providing Internet service, but you do not have a modem.....you will need to ask Optimum to provide you with one.
