Apr 12, 2014 9:12 PM in response to buck4me1by Bob Timmons,A basic requirement for the Guest Network feature to work correctly would be that the AirPort connects to a simple modem.....not a modem/router or gateway device that Internet Service Providers often furnish to their customers by default.
So, the first thing to check here might be to find out whether you have a simple modem.
Can you post back with the make and model number of the device that you call your "modem"?

Apr 30, 2014 1:15 PM in response to buck4me1by Bob Timmons,Unfortunately, disabling the wireless does not make the Uverse device a modem. It is still acting as the router for the network.
The Guest Network will not work correctly unless the AirPort is connected to a simple modem. Suggest that you check with Uverse to see if they can provide you with a simple modem.
