Q: How do I export frames into gifs on iMovie 10.0.3?
I have used imovie to make gifs by exporting frames using quicktime, but the recent update has wiped the necessities I need to make one and my options are only limited to simply making movies, which I don't do as often, and I have no intentions to risk downloading any apps from the internet. Do any of you guys have any idea how to do so?

I guess, you HAVE to ..
gif is a really, really old, not to say 'antique' format, not supported for quiet a time as an export option from within MacOS apps. (what are you uisng gifs for anyhow?)
e.g. downloading apps from the AppStore is of no risk.
and, in your System Prefs/Security, you can set to 'Appstore/verified developer only'
you've read this User Tip?
How can I make a still frame from iMovie 11? (also works in iMovie 10)
