In those circumstances you own a brick. There is no way past the activation lock. The phone was probably stolen.

your answer is typical and the reason so many of us are stuck with iphones that cannot be activated. Try growing up not everyone is a thief, maybe just where you live.

If it was actually YOUR phone, then you could activate it with your Apple ID. If it's activation locked with someone else's Apple ID, then it's a brick. No amount of whining is going to change that.

The reason so many of you are stuck with phones that cannot be activated is because of your own lack of research and knowledge before buying phones from strangers. The reason is not the typically correct answers you receive here.

If the previous owner did not make arrangements for you to actually be able to use it before they were swept off to the halls of Valhalla to drink and fight with Odin, then you're out of luck.

This site is periodically besieged by "spammers" offering various mystical services you may find useful. I encourage you to return at frequent intervals and contact one of your choosing. Their persistent return to this site implies they are not yet dead, and conventional contact methods such as telephone (cellular or landline) may be used.

This post does not constitute endorsement or approval of any of the products, services or opinions of the aforementioned corporation, organization, individuals, or spam-bots.

Apparently you have a reading comprehension problem.

No one accused you of spamming.

John Galt was merely trying to offere a suggestion for a service you might be able to use to help you gain access to a phone belonging to someone who is deceased.

Come back in a few hours. You appear to represent their ideal demographic target.
