Q: How do I connect my TD bank account to my iTunes account?

I'm a Canadian and I use TD Canada as my bank. It says on Apple that the only accepted cards are Visa, Master Card, and American Express. I was wondering if that's different for Canada than it is for the U.S. and if TD is an option. I just want to connect my card to download music and apps on my iphone and ipad, not to buy from Apple's accessories store, etc.
