nope, you stripped the AR coating on the display.

May 4, 2014 5:52 PM in response to carlyshiembby John Galt,The surface of a MacBook Air's display is just glass. It's unlikely you damaged anything with alcohol, assuming you don't mean that liquid seeped inside.
Can you simply wipe it clean with a dry cloth?
There are inexpensive screen wipes available - try them.
