Q: URGENT ipad iphoto2 slideshow w/ pics AND videos share

Hello,

I am really desparate. Work project. I created a slideshow in iPad's iphoto2 with slides AND videos.

All I want to do is to share what I created. When I share it now (link to iCloud), it takes away all the videos and replaces them with stills.

So, then I thought I could somehow send the slideshow to an iMac (vis i Clous?) and readd the videos and share it from there-but it looks like iphoto for iMac & iPads are not the same. So, I was told that the only thing I could do it to load all the pictures back into my camera roll and share them via iCloud to my iMac and literally recreate the whole slideshow/start over. I have literally spent hours upon hours editing the photos, videos and then putting them in order etc etc....Thoughts?

HAve you tried to create a Shared Photo Stream of your Slideshow?

A Shared Stream supports videos as well as photos.

If you send your slideshow to your Mac as a Shared Photo Stream and then recreate your slideshow in iPhoto on your mac, you can mix photos and videos as well. Then share your slideshow as a video.

Thanks so much for your quick reply.

Shared Photo Stream is not an option under iPad's iPhoto 2 or under Porjects/slideshows.

I can only do that if I put everything back onto my camera roll-which I have to do anyway if I want to recreate it in the Macbook. Was trying to avoid putting it all back onto the camera roll since I edited the pics.

I was hoping that if I could get into the slideshow, as is, with videos as stills, then I could just replace the stills with videos in an iMac.

It says my slideshow is in the Cloud, but it is not appearing/cannot access it---yet, I see it eating up tons of space in my account under iPhoto. Perhaps there is a lag time? Maybe if I can eventually pull it off the cloud, I can edit it in iMac.

Shared Photo Stream is not an option under iPad's iPhoto 2 or under Porjects/slideshows.

With a little detour - don't move the photos to the Camera Roll, but to a tagged album.

In your slideshow select all photos (...) and press edit. Press the bagage label to add a uniqe tag "My Slideshow" or similar.

Then go to the albums view. You now should see a tagged album "My Slideshow". In this album the share to the shared Photo stream is available.

Or share your slideshow directly to iTunes. Then you can download the HTML of the webpage.

Thanks so much! You have no idea how much you helped!

I couldn't do exactly what you described-but, I was able to quickly put/save my EDITED slideshow pictures in album! I guess when I originally worked on slideshow it saved all my edits to an album and now I can easily upload that whole album to the camera roll and work to recreate it in iMac. (Put pics in order and add in videos!) Will do this tomorrow. THANKS AGAIN!!

fyi: I had tried using iTunes originally but the original slideshow did not appear.

But, I was able to send myself the iCloud link to the original slideshow-but it played without the videos.
