Q: iTunes Match - very long time uploading

Can anyone tell me if its normal for iTunes Match to take a very long time to match songs. I've been running it since last night, including overnight.

I have 3816 songs, it seems to be taking a very long time to match my songs.

Using Windows 7 Home Premium

If you just subscribed and this is your first time uploading to iTunes match, then yes it does take a while. In my experience, depending on bandwidth, I uploaded about 4500-5000 and it tokk roughly a day and a bit (let's say 30 hours) overall, And that depends on the music you have.

If you have used iTunes Match before - and it's takin ages, yes i'm having problems with it too on uploading. Not sure what's going on?

Thanks very much for your help.

It seems to have worked now, however I now have issue with downloading the tracks onto my new Mac, some albums will download okay, but others simply will not, any ideas ?

I've had rather intermittent downloads with it as well. Some freeze, some don't. If it freezes, you should either pause or stop the download and retry it. It has hiccups every so often - just retry it.

Anytime i have a frozen download, i restart it and it works fine.

    Hi folks,

I found a solution in case your MATCH is still buggy...

JUST BOOT YOUR MAC HOLDING THE SHIFT KEY (until you see a progress bar).

Then in itunes disable and re-enable iTunes Match.

It should rescan all your library and eventually works.

At the end just reboot your Mac normally.

    Best regards from Paris.

    Nico
