May 13, 2014 9:14 AM in response to MS Haarlemby rkaufmann87,★HelpfulFirst we don't know anything about your iMac. It would be very helpful to us if we had more information, please download and run EtreCheck and then post the report it produces. Once we have that information we might be able to get a better idea what is going on with your iMac. You can get EtreCheck by clicking http://www.etresoft.com/etrecheck
DO NOT download or install any maintenance software or any performance enhancing apps, they will not help and may cause damage to OS X.

May 13, 2014 9:51 AM in response to MS Haarlemby rkaufmann87,Well the issue is pretty clear, you have loaded down your iMac with a lot of crapware that is not only 100% unneccessary but will hurt performance. You need to follow the developers instructions for uninstalling
.macpaw.CleanMyMac
Mcaffee apps
Once you have uninstalled these restart in Safe Mode (hold down the Shift key when you hear a startup tone until a progress bar appears) and then restart normally and test. Re-Run EtreCheck report and re-post.

May 13, 2014 11:00 AM in response to MS Haarlemby MichelPM,You have quite a bit a garbage and junk on your Mac and you didn't follow any of rKaufmann's instructions.
You need to uninstall all McAffee software by following the instructions for uninstall from the McAffee website.
You have CleanMyMac 2 installed on your system and this is total "garbageware"
Get rid of it!
http://macpaw.com/support/cleanmymac/knowledgebase/how-to-uninstall-cleanmymac-2
Problem System Launch Daemons:
[failed] com.apple.ucupdate.plist
You need to find this in your System>Library>Preferences folder and delete this.
Launch Daemon:

Completely uninstall TunnelBear and update Glimmerblocker.
Completely uninstall ALL Google software per the instructions on Google's website. Currently, Google Chrome and Drive are not playing well and are NOT 100% compatible/compliant with OS X Mavericks. Until Google releases a proper fix or update for OS X Mavericks, completely uninstall these Google apps.
If you do not like Apple's Safari Web browser, as an alternative, try using Mozilla FireFox. Mozilla constantly updates FireFox and just released a new update recently and is much more stable on OS X Mavericks.
MacFUSE is out of date and obsolete since 2008-2010.
Uninstall/delete this from your system.
Its replacement is FUSE for OS X and that has just been, recently, updated for OS X Mavericks.
You need to update all of your third party software if there are OS X Mavericks updates that can be applied.
You may need to,ACTUALLY, go the third party developers' websites if there are no updates through the Mac App Store.
Make sure to Update all of your Web browser Internet plugins and extensions, also.
After you have completed these tasks, restart you Mac and see if performance has improved.
Good Luck!

May 13, 2014 11:03 AM in response to MichelPMby MichelPM,If you want to keep using TunnelBear, the TunnelBear website has a Mavericks update, install it!
Again, make sure to update all of your installed software on your Mac.

CleanMyMack is still there, the product is made by MacPaw. Their website is located at:
Contact them to get instructions for uninstalling their app. If they do not have any then use a tool such a AppCleaner which will look for the app and get rid of it. Then you can empty the Trash, restart in Safe Mode and test.
