Q: MacOSX App Store Not Opening

The App Store on my iMac is showing an upate to be installed, when I go to open the App Store, it opens and then just hangs there.

I have tried clearing cache, restarting and most things, but still to no avail.

Any assitance would be appreciated.

Hello Aaron,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

From what I understand from your post is that when going to the updates section within the Mac App Store, the Mac App Store becomes unresponsive. I found the following article that has some troubleshooting steps for you to go through in order to resolve the issue:
