Q: HELP!! Wedding Photos to save!
I was running aperture 3.4.1 on my mac book pro with mavericks, aperture library is located on an external harddrive, backed up to timemachine and vaults (on two hard drives). I had been work in aperture fine on asome wedding photographs I took for a friend. I shut aperture down and restarted a day or so later and it just sits and does nothing. Most of the menu items and grayed out, those that aren't don't allow you to do anything. I have tried launching it with at the library available, restoring from a back up both the library and software. I have tried to boot for the library repair tools its wont do that. Final I uninstalled it and down loaded 3.5.1 from the app store say problems. Hope you can help guys as I'm getting desperate!

Are you perhaps in "Quick Preview" mode? Then most menu items will be disabled:
If it is not the simple solution above, check, which of the trouble shooting options you have not yet tried:

Does Aperure work, when you try a new test library in a different user account? For example, the Guest User account?
