Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with your iPod nano.
The following steps in the section titled "Will not turn on or screen remains dark" and "Screen is unresponsive and displays Apple logo or white screen" in the following article would be practical for your situation. If you are also not seeing your iPod in iTunes when your have your iPod connected, I recommend the section titled "iPod not recognized by iTunes or computer."
