Q: Windows Vista problem reports after latest Itunes 11.2 update

i am having a similar problem since updating on Saturday May 17.

working.

my pop up states:

iTunes has stopped working

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.  Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

my operating system is Windows 7.

Have you tried a full tear down and reinstall as shown in the second box of Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates?

The user tip applies to iTunes for Windows, as opposed to iTunes for Mac/OS X. Cleaning out the folders as described in the second box should set you up for a successful reinstall. If you still have problems the rest of the tip should have useful resources.

Same issue. Started after recent iTunes update. No problem accessing my iTunes. The annoying DEP icon pops up only when I close my iTunes. I am afraid to re-install iTunes and other files. Shall I simply wait for Apple to provide a fix?

Your library and media should be preseved when reinstalling iTunes. See the Further Information area of Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates for details and a backup tip.

Apple won't reach out and fix your computer now that something has gone wrong. How would they know? A new release of iTunes won't fix the proplem either as the installer won't do the clean out of the program installation folders that is needed prior to a clean reinstall.

That's a shame.

Hold down Shift–Control while opening iTunes. You should see a dialog that says "iTunes is running in safe mode" before iTunes finishes starting up. Do you get the same error when closing iTunes? If not then if you open and close iTunes normally do you get the DEP error?

Well, I'm out of ideas for now, but I will try to keep my eyes open for a solution.
