Q: Kernel and Installer taking to much CPU

I have 4GB of RAM in my system. My Kernel_task and Installer are taking way to much CPU

This in turn heats up fan and if Firefox is running i get up to 90-95°C !!

I'm having continous crashes and since installing Temperature Gauge I can simultaneously understand which activity (activity monitor) is heating up my macbook air...

I can  see why you are having problems ..

You need to uninstall CleanMyMac and MacKeeper. Both will cause you nothing but problems. Do not install third party so called Mac cleaning utilities. Your Mac runs maintenance in the background for you >  Mac OS X: About background maintenance tasks

    Instructions for uninstalling MacKeeper here.

Do not install MacKeeper: Apple Support Communiti

    Uninstall CleanMyMac. Instructions here.

You also need to remove the Genieo malware. Instructions here.

And delete this file:  net.culater.SIMBL.Agent.plist    from   /Library/LaunchAgents

com.Cycling74.driver.Soundflower   <  This driver has caused other Mac uers kernel panics and freezes as noted from the results of an Apple Support Communities search here.

And keep an eye on available disk space.

Click your Apple menu top left in your screen. From the drop down menu click About This Mac > More Info > Storage

Make sure there's at least 15% free disk space.

Thanks , did as you suggested !

I had just returned Macbook Air from service and since battery is back in place it keeped crashing...

The people at the store told and recommended to have MacKeeper out so I did !! But i was not aware of CleanMyMac being crapware too ...

Any suggestion for 'cleaning' Mac Data? What about Macwares MacTuneUp ?

    Both are ****ware.

As I mentioned previously, no third party Mac cleaning utilities are necessary on a Mac. If you install third party so called cleaning utilities, you'll have the same problems all over again.

I'm curious. Which store suggesed MacKeeper ?

    No store suggested using Mackeeper...
    They recommended de-installing...

But I did not mention to have CleanMyMac installed too.

    THanks for the link

There is no reason to have GateKeeper disabled. If you find the need to open an app that isn't from the AppStore and isn't signed, then simply right-click / control click on the app and select Open from the popup menu. That way you will think about whether or not it's from a trusted site so you won't accidentally install Genieo Adware next time. Just make sure you use the developers web site or a reputable download site like MacUpdate. The installers at Softonic and C|Net's download.com often include unwanted add-ons.
