You'd have a lot of modding to do to make it fit, if it's even possible. The old Mac Pro's parts are probably too big for the G4 case, and forget about the new model.
The two work on totally different architectures, so just a motherboard won't suffice.

As they say in hot rod circles, if you have enough time and money you can put anything into anything - but I have to wonder if it's the most expeditious use of resources. Couldn't you just put the G4 on your desk and hide the Mac Pro somewhere else?
Additionally, even if you're determined, would you have anywhere near enough cooling? My G4 Quicksilver runs best in an air-conditioned room and with a slightly heavier duty CPU fan, and I think something with a much faster processor would tend to cook itself.
I do share your appreciation of the G4 design!
