Q: My me.com account sent email subject line "Alert - "

I just received 5 emails into one of my gmail accounts from my me.com account with subject line "Alert -" and a blank body. I looked at the raw source, but nothing seems amiss, but I've included it below (email address have been removed).

The IPs starting with 10 are private, internal IPs, but I'm not familiar with them. The 192 IPs are internal to my network. The IPs starting with 17 seem to belong to Apple.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

    Hi Richard Schwalb,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! I understand that your me.com account has sent some strange messages to your gmail.com account. I suggest using the following article for Reporting junk mail.

iCloud: Identifying and filtering junk mail

    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4899

    Reporting junk mail

Filtering junk mail at the server level is only part of the solution. You can complement iCloud's junk-mail filtering by manually reporting messages as junk. You can do this by forwarding a message as an attachment tospam@icloud.com. Learn more about managing junk mail.

    I hope this helps,

    -Joe

    Thanks for the reply.

This wasn't a straight up junk mail issue. Rather, it looked like either my me.com email address was being spoofed or someone hacked my account. The emails have stopped, and when I looked over the headers nothing was amiss (from what I could see). So, either Mail.app whigged out (possible), or Apple was doing something and some emails were sent from my me.com account to one of my gmail accounts. Just not sure what this was.
