You've got something called TeamViewer. uninstall it and see if that improves things. Check with the developer that they have a Mavericks compatible version (and then make sure you're using that one.)

You've also got something called HSMMonitor?? Also HP Message Center.

And there's a whole load of shopping-related Safari Extensions. Remove them and see if that improves Safari. Again, make sure they are Mavericks compatible and you are up to date.

thank you so nmuch. I uninstalled Team Viewer.(just put it in Trash Can, is that correct procedure?).

Cannot find HSMMonitor; maybe tht's the big Apple screen my macbook is connected to.

Cannot find HP Mes Center. Appart from the sofware needed for my printer.

What do you mean by "a whole load of shopping-related Safari Extensions. " Cannot find these and never bought anything connected to Safari.

Sorry, I'm not an expert as you can see!!!!

    Thks for the help anyway.

I repaired my disk again: there wass a lot to be repaired again???!!

Look at the EtreCheck results! To remove the Safari Extensions, go to Safari > PReferences > Extensions, and remove all the stuff there.

HSMMonitor is software: not from Apple, and not related to your computer monitor.

The ExtreCheck results list things in /Library/Launch Agents, /Library/LaunchDaemons, and the similar folders in your User Library (<user>/Library/Launch Agents, etc.)

    1.  Go to /Library/Launch Agents and Remove:

    com.hp.messagecenter.launcher.plist

    com.teamviewer.teamviewer.plist

    com.teamviewer.teamviewer_desktop.plist

    2. Go to /Library/Launch Daemons and remove:

    com.teamviewer.teamviewer_service.plist

    3. Go to <user>/Library/Launch Agents (the Library folder may be invisible. Hold down alt and select the Library from the Go menu.) and Remove:

    com.google.keystone.agent.plist

    com.nero.HSMMonitor.plist

You'll need to authorise these removals with your password. You should reboot after doing this.

I'm assuming you Repaired Permissions using Disk Utility. This does very little, and you should not expect this to fix most problems that you have. As you noticed, it often reports the same thing over and over again.

Please describe the problem in as much relevant detail as possible. The "etrecheck" fad hasn't made that step any less necessary. The better your description, the better the chance of solving the problem.

For example, if the computer is slow, which specific actions are slow? Is it slow all the time, or only sometimes? When did it start to be slow? Did you change anything just before it started? Have you seen any alerts or error messages? Have you done anything to try to fix it? Most importantly, do you have a current backup of all data? If the answer to the last question is "no," back up now. Ask if you need guidance. Do nothing else until you have a backup.

First, I notice that you have both the Spigot and Vidx adware installed. See my Adware Removal Guide for help removing them.

Beyond that, I would agree that you need to describe the problem rather than just providing an EtreCheck report. We can't really help if we don't know what's going on, and tools like EtreCheck can only help to identify certain types of problem.

If you're having performance issues, try the suggestions in my Mac Performance Guide.
