Q: Sharpen Brush Won't Appear

May 29, 2014 10:15 AMby ebethkris,Yes - it appears to be applying the sharpening effect, but I can't see the brush size. I've also had cursor issues before in other areas, but typically, when I actually hold down the cursor to apply an effect, the brush would show up while I was applying. In this case, the brush never even shows up.

If you quit and restart Aperture, does it still happen? Generally I find these issues are transient. I tried it on my machine (Aperture 3.5.1, OS X 10.9.3) and it's working OK here, so it's not 100% reproducible in all setups.

May 29, 2014 11:45 AMby Frank Caggiano,Issues with the UI are usually fixed by removing the preference file and rebooting the system (if using Mavericks. If using an earlier OS logging out and back in should be enough).
