May 30, 2014 9:33 AM in response to Rudegarby Presha,OK, well maybe it's a second gen Apple TV. They all kinda look the same, you know what I mean, Rudegar? My point is that Airplay has worked on the thing for a year until now.
Shall we go back to trying to make me (the consumer) sound stupid?
It worked, then it didn't.
Period.

May 30, 2014 9:49 AM in response to Preshaby vazandrew,If it's the big aluminum one with hard drive, that's first gen. Little black box will be 2nd (or 3rd) gen.
If it is a second gen, with airplay, connectivity issues are going to be network related.
If on wifi try ethernet. Make sure router is up to date. Reboot both ATV and router.
Go to istumbler (Mac) or netstumbler (PC) to get a report of the network, look for signal strength.

No, they all do not really look the same.
How do you have no clue what model you have?

Either it's a big aluminum box which is the 1st gen or it's a small black box which is 2nd or 3rd gen.
