Jan 21, 2014 8:48 AM in response to Brunnianby King_Penguin,You won't be able to hide them - you used to able to do it in previous versions of iOS but for some reason that has been removed, you can now only do it on a computer's iTunes. You can try leaving feedback for Apple : http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html or http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html

Mar 23, 2014 5:49 PM in response to slaforby Hate SmartLinks,Even more amazing that it appears to have been an option before.
The genius of Apple, deleting options and features, one update at a time.

Apr 18, 2014 1:57 PM in response to nakano.mmaby jmatthewfromhi,+1 but we are wasting our breath. Apple obviously has no intention of allowing us to protect our own privacy.

Apr 18, 2014 2:26 PM in response to nakano.mmaby King_Penguin,Apple are not here, these are user-to-user forums. If you want to leave feedback then use the feedback page (but it's unlikely to happen) : http://www.apple.com/feedback/

Apr 18, 2014 4:15 PM in response to slaforby Hate SmartLinks,Apple employees most definitely check these forms. They would be more likely to respond to a viral complaint/thread, than a Feedback form that can't be seen to the public.

Apr 26, 2014 9:23 AM in response to AlchemyFireby Michigan-iPhone5,★HelpfuliPhone/iPod TouchI have found the way to permanently delete uninstalled apps form the itunes list of apps... Follow these steps and poof gone form the list.
1.) Connect iphone to PC and open itunes (it should open to your list of music or what was showing when you last closed it)
2.) Make sure in the upper left corner it shows Apps and not something else
3.) Across the top you should see about 5 choices, "All - iPhone/iPod Touch - iPad - List - Updates"
Select "iPhone/iPod Touch"
4.) hold down the ctrl button (windows) and begin to click the ones you want to delete to highlight all of the apps you want gone.
5.) When you finished selecting al the apps you want to delete, press the delete button and confirm.
6.) close iTunes and disconnect your device and reconnect and start itunes. apps in the list should only show what is physically on your device.

Jun 2, 2014 11:49 AM in response to slaforby PurpleyPuffin,I have no idea whether this link has already been posted in the previous ten pages and I have no intention of reading through it all to check but always good to have the answer on the final page anyway
There IS a way to do it and it does work, I just watched the app icons disappear off my ipad as I hid them in iTunes on my pc.
And the help comes courtesy of this page
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919
Happy hiding!

Jun 3, 2014 2:35 AM in response to PurpleyPuffinby nakano.mma,Did you read the topic? Do you think? (not different, just think) ... NO ONE wants to just hide the purchases, but to DELETE them, so NO ONE can ever find you have been using an app.
You make a bad rap to apple.... they think different,we just think, and you...just refuse to apparently...
