Jul 5, 2012 3:31 PM in response to Frederickjamesby Demo,There is no way to sync the iPad from the phone or from the phone to the iPad.
You can download the songs again in iTunes as long as you use the same Apple ID and as long as the feature is available wherever you live. Downloading past purchased content is not available for all content everywhere in the world.
You can check here to see if the feature is available where you live.

Or you can simply go to iTunes on the iPad or the iPhone and tap on Purchased. If the songs are in there with the cloud icon next to them, start downloading them by tapping on the cloud icon.

Jul 5, 2012 3:32 PM in response to Frederickjamesby justicelee26,If you purchased the music from iTunes simply open the iTunes app, click purchased at the bottom, then select 'not on this iPad' located near the top of the screen and proceed to download the songs. If the songs were not bought on iTunes you will need a computer, cloud storage, or an external hard drive that can wirelessly sync to your apple devices.

Oct 12, 2012 6:41 AM in response to Frederickjamesby liliyterry,Using iCloud:
- On your iPhone go to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup
- Turn iCloud Backup on and wait for it to back up completely
- If you've already used your iPad, on there go to Settings > General > Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings
- When you're setting up the iPad, it will ask if you want to restore from an iCloud backup—just choose the iPhone backup
Using a computer with iTunes:
- Sync your iPhone with iTunes—this will also make a backup
- If you've already used your iPad, on there go to Settings > General > Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings
- Connect your iPad to your computer and follow the steps in iTunes to restore from the iPhone backup

May 14, 2013 10:11 PM in response to Frederickjamesby aimeetompson,Well if possible try plugging your iPad and your iPhone into your computer go to the music file on both devices on your computer and transfer music from your iPad to your iPhone.
If you do not want to use a computer, then you can use Bluetooth connectivity to transfer songs. You have to turn the Bluetooth capability on, for both the iPhone and the iPad. Select the kind of songs you want and connect to the device. After you are done, check your settings to turn off the Bluetooth.

May be transfer music from iPad to iPhone via Bluetooth is better, so you don't need a computer.

Jun 4, 2015 6:24 AM in response to justicelee26by UsernamePlus,Thank you justicelee! I bought a song on iTunes on my iPad and tried for ages to get it on my iPhone too (I though it would just happen, or show up in "downloads", but it obviously doesn't work that way). I didnt even realise there was a "not on this iPhone" bit, where you had to manually download the song! But your answer helped me find it, and solved a load of frustration. Thanks.
