Q: Is there something, like the SD card for example, that you can remove from your phone and leave somewhere so that when people are using Find My Friends, they think you're somewhere else?

It's unavoidable - but I don't like being tracked. Is there a way to make everyone think I'm somewhere when I'm not?

iPhone doesn't have an SD card, and even if it did, an SD card has nothing to do with your location.

For times when you don't want to be tracked, use the Hide my Location function, or just turn off Find my Friends - it is completely avoidable if you wish.

Go to settings, and under turn things off under privacy. And yeah using find my friends is completely optional. Then it's either airplane mode or turning your phone off completely. Even then... no promises if someone or some entity really wants to track you =).

Delete the Find My Friends app. Don't give anyone your Apple ID password as if they had that, they could use Find My iPhone to track your phone. Don't let social media services (twitter, Facebook, Instagram) have access to your location services.

If you are on an cell phone account that is controlled by someone else (e.g. parents) note that they may be able to avail themselves of carrier services to track your phone. In order to avoid being tracked that way, you would, as Bonanaza888 noted, you'ld need to put your phone in Airplane mode or turn it off.

Silly question, but did you give each of your friends permission to track you, as in each friend sent you a request to track you and you approved the request.

otherwise, they should not be able to track you, unless you and your friends are using a 3rd party app that does not ask for permission, and then you can take away the apps access to location services via settings.
