Mar 6, 2014 6:22 AM in response to Jeremy Winstonby Jeremy Winston,More info...
There appear to be two volumes associated when I connect up the HBS-730. When I'm listening to music (I haven't tried games or other apps), the volume popup is titled 'Volume.' It is that volume (when listening to music) that is too loud even on the lowest setting.
When on a phone call, the volume popup is titled 'Bluetooth' and that volume control is just fine.
Does that give anyone any thoughts?

Mar 17, 2014 10:12 AM in response to Jeremy Winstonby rnanderson,My problem is exactly the opposite, that is to say, the volume can be adjusted to a comfortable listening level in music, but it is too loud on a voice call. Even at the lowest setting it is so loud it distorts and is almost painful.

Mar 17, 2014 6:01 PM in response to rnandersonby Jeremy Winston,Now... isn't that odd!?!
What does the volume window say when you're on a call or listening to music?
I wonder if there's a base calibration somewhere that calibrates the 730 to the phone.

Apr 29, 2014 11:33 AM in response to KEMAC19by EJohnson5,I have just upgraded from an iPhone 4s to an iPhone 5s and am now having the same issue. Calls are loud when at the lowest volume setting from using either the new phone or headset to adjust on my new phone that never was an issue with the old phone. When playing music, I do not appear to be having issues with the volume setting and actually have two different settings, one from the headset and one on the phone.
Both phones are/were running iOS 7.1.1. For me this can start to be an issue as I am on conference calls all the time for work that I join remotely.

Jun 5, 2014 6:45 PM in response to Jeremy Winstonby FabioCAMS,This is definitely a problem on the Iphone (I'm using 5S).
I just paired my LG tone 730 with my iMac and I can change the volume to my liking.
It is clear to me know that Apple must come up with a patch so the iphone doesn't "lock"the device's sound allowing for proper music listening.

Jun 6, 2014 6:26 PM in response to FabioCAMSby 12fretter,I'm not sure it's the iphone causing the issue. I have an ipad 2 running ios 6 and have the same issue. It seems that the bluetooth protocol (or whatever that's called) on the 730 doesn't correctly synch with the volume level of the device. I'm listening to Pandora with the volume on the ipad off with no bars and the headphones at their lowest and it's still a bit too loud. Too crisp on the treble side as well. There may be a firmware update for them that resolves the issue.

Jun 7, 2014 5:11 PM in response to 12fretterby FabioCAMS,It works perfectly with the imac and other phone user had the same issue that was corrected after their phone system was update with new "firmware", that fixed the bug. I'm 100% it's the iphone

Jun 8, 2014 1:50 PM in response to FabioCAMSby Sito53,NOT 100% the iPhone5. I have HBS-730 I bought a 2/13 and another new one just purchased last week. The "old" one works fine with volume adjustments on the phone and headset working independently. The "new" one is way too loud. I think the firmware on the headset has been updated and that is causing the issue. On my PC and Mac it works fine.

Jun 9, 2014 5:17 PM in response to Jeremy Winstonby rockthegod,Same problem with me. iPhone 5 with iOS 7.0.6. Just bought the HBS730 and the minimum volume is deafeningly loud. The headset works perfectly with my Macbook Air (OSX 10.9.3) and an Acer Android tablet - where you can control the source volume and the headset volumes independent of each other. The problem seems to be with iOS. What a weird problem... If anybody know any solutions, please let us know. Thank you.

Jun 15, 2014 3:45 AM in response to Jeremy Winstonby jrduggan,So this may not work on all devices, but it worked on my iPhone 4S running iOS 7.1.1, all I did was reset the network settings then reconnected the HBS-730. Go to General>Reset>Network and enter your passcode. You WILL lose all wifi networks that are saved. I am not saying this will work for everyone, but it may be worth a shot because I was having the same problem when I bought my HBS-730 last night.

After turning the device off and on again, it is back to the original issue. I reset the network settings again, and nothing changed.
