Thanks for the question. It sounds like your GUI and system services are failing to load. To isolate this issue further see these steps:
First, try starting up in Safe Mode by holding the shift key after hearing the startup tone:

Really appreciate for Your replay ,
Me and my wife still stuck .
I can't start with a Safe Boot by holding the Shift key during start up. i do as you write but after 3 min steering at apple icon circling around i book shout by himself .:(
and when i open is still the same.
Ibook show me the screen black only when i use apple key + s key and holding home bottom
and again show me message localhost;/root i type fsck
and screen show me :
** /dev/rdisk0s3
** Root file system
**Checking HFS PLUS VOLUME
FSCK _hfs: Volume is journaled. no checking performed.
fsck_hfs: use the -f option to force checking.
and now what??? when i type -f is not do anything
