Q: [Pages] Indent sub-headings table of contents

Hey.

In Pages I'd like to indent my sub-heading in my table of contents.

I've searched the complete internet but cant find what I'm looking for. In Microsoft Office Word this is very easy.

I'll try to explain what I want to do.

Currently in Pages I have my table of content like this:

Heading Name.......................1

Heading Name.......................3

Sub-Heading Name................3

Sub-Heading Name................4

Heading Name.......................6

Sub-Heading Name................3

Sub-Sub Heading Name..........4

But what I'd like is this:

Heading Name.......................1

Heading Name.......................3

     Sub-Heading Name...........3

     Sub-Heading Name...........4

Heading Name.......................6

     Sub-Heading Name...........3

          Sub-Sub Heading Nam.4

Can anyone tell me how to accomplish this?

Thank you in advance.

Click on the subheads in the T.O.C. and drag in the left indent on the Ruler.

This needs a slight update, although it's old, to explain the new system - indenting now works via the table of contents section under 'Format' on the sidebar.

Simply click your table of contents so it's highlighted in a blue outline, and tick the boxes next to headings or titles you want to appear in your TOC (table of contents) in the Format sidebar. The ordering of the title formats defines the way the indentation will behave, ie. if you've ticked 'Title' and 'Subtitle', and Title is above Subtitle in the list, the subtitle will become indented in your TOC.
