In iTunes yesterday I changed my e-mail and password for my Apple ID, because my old e-mail address is no longer in use. However, now iCloud on my Macbook Pro is telling me that it can't connect to iCloud and asks for my password, but it still has my old e-mail address on it. I haven't been able to find any way to change the e-mail address on it? On iTunes it was very simple, but now iCloud wants me to delete all of my contacts, calendars, etc. to be able to change it. I also have an iPad and iPhone connected. Should I just disconnect and then once I reconnect it will all come back? It's the same account, just different e-mail address. (Oh and I also tried to put in my old password and my new password and neither will work.)
What exactly did you change, if you changed the Apple ID then you have a new account, items do not transfer between accounts so, exactly, what did you do.

In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.

Jan 30, 2013 6:14 PM in response to Winston Churchillby vecherse,The other day I deleted the account from my Mac, then put in my new details it said "Loading" for at least 6 hours until it apparently gave up. As well as it really slowed down my computer. It never actually went through. I'm afraid to do it on my iPhone.
All I did was change my e-mail address and password for iCloud, because I had been using my really old one and just updated it.

If the old ID is yours, and if it is an earlier version of your current ID, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.
hope it helped
