Jun 17, 2014 10:20 AM in response to maxroblotby egolnik, jsalord posted that "fix" on page 8 of this thread. If you will read the thread in its entirety, you will see that this is not a fix that resolves the problem for everyone, regardless of belief system and despite any power of magic.

Jun 17, 2014 5:33 PM in response to egolnikby MichaelSinz,So, I now have tried all of the "fixes" so far and nothing helps. After sleeping while plugged in, the WiFi needs to be turned off and then on again to get it to work.
It is time to contact an engineer within Apple to see if I can get some traces to find the problem.

Jun 19, 2014 9:25 AM in response to seb101by dinlo21,OK OK OK - after reading all of this, and calling Apple, I have the fix...
I've read all these posts, and tried everything, except the below. Once I did this, IT FIXED THE WIFI SLEEP ISSUE!!!!
1 - Go to Finder>COMPUTER(if not there, go to 'GO' then COMPUTER)>Macintosh HD>Library>Preferences> find file called 'com.apple.Bluetooth.plist'.
2 - Move 'com.apple.Bluetooth.plist to your desktop, then, delete the file from it's location within the string in step 1.
3 - Reboot your MAC
4 - With Bluetooth enabled, and your Wifi connected, close the lid
5 - Wait 1 minute
6 - Open lid, Wifi should automatically connect, and the problem solved.
Believe me, this works, and if it doesn't you have a problem with your Wifi infra at your house/business.

Jun 19, 2014 10:27 AM in response to dinlo21by Evostance,Trust me, after reading 409 replies to this thread and seeing this so called fix mentioned several times, it doesn't fix the issue.

Jun 19, 2014 10:28 AM in response to Evostanceby Evostance,Interestingly though, when I spoke to Apple yesterday, this issue has been fixed

Jun 19, 2014 10:43 AM in response to Evostanceby dinlo21,I can only go by the problem and what fixed for me... I assume you have another problem (obviously) that , if you've spoken to Apple, and still having the problem is a firmware/patch issue.
Anyway, back to happy surfing I go

Jun 19, 2014 10:57 AM in response to dinlo21by Evostance,I deleted those files along with the SystemPreferences as instructed by Apple. It worked for about a day or two and then it came back. Every time you bring this thread up though or mention the bluetooth issue, Apple go all hush

Jul 8, 2014 2:01 PM in response to DTS419by Celatum,I have just updated to 10.9.4, which was supposed to fix the problem of my Mac forgetting network connections. The fix didn't work, I still have to turn wifi off and on again after sleep. When will someone at Apple fix this?
