Jul 14, 2014 10:52 AM in response to MAXp0wrby paulfromculmore,I purchased my first mac in kenya and started off in the Kenya iTunes store. Then I realised that there was more content in the UK store, being a UK citizen I am also entitled to a UK account so I opened an account there. Now the problem is updates. yes I can login and logout to get updates but that is not convenient. Also if I have deleted an app from my iPhone is is inconvenient to sign out and in. in fact it is downright NOT apple ish. What I wish for is
1) either a way to have two active apple IDs, that can keep my software up to date.
2) a way to transfer my purchases. Apple can even delete the old ID once the transfer is complete or block it or whatever they want to do with it. Im not stealing Im moving

Actually I do not believe that is true, Phil. I don't think you can create an AppleID using an apple mail account, but you can change the user id to the associated mail after the fact. Not 100% on that.
LOL, Isn't that what I said?

Also there is no creation, simlid simply wants to update the email address they are using for their apple id. As I said they can do that, except it cannot be an iCloud email address.

Jul 14, 2014 12:01 PM in response to Steve Nichollsby paulfromculmore,Thanks Steve that is a thought.
Consider an app like omnifocus professional, runs on my mac, it costs 80 USD will family sharing really allow another account/computer to use the app? That is a big discount!

Jul 14, 2014 12:25 PM in response to Steve Nichollsby paulfromculmore,Steve I'm on IPad, iPhone and mac. According to this article it works for all apple platforms, mac,iPad,iPhone but the developer has to opt-in.
So its a very good tip you have given me. It will help, assuming it works across countries!!

Jul 14, 2014 1:24 PM in response to Phil0124by Tigervision,Why in the world is that the case?? that you can't use icloud account.
-
Jul 14, 2014 2:23 PM in response to Tigervisionby Phil0124,Only Apple knows why. The point is you need an external non apple based email address as the main address for an Apple ID.
