You said "For some reason..." - you answered you own question as to why in what followed
Unfortunately (or fortunately) the only way to help you is not by we Users but by attention from the Hosts. The ya re pretty good about monitoring most forums but I am not so sure about this one.
However, the Upper Levelers here could alert the Hosts if they see this.
A better forum for this post would be Using Apple Support Communities where this issue pops up ALOT - and is well monitored by the Hosts

Jul 15, 2014 8:13 AM in response to CJRudlandby King_Penguin,If you've forgotten your security question answers and don't have access to your rescue email account (or don't know it's full address) then you will need to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset. Contacting Apple about account security : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699 - they should be able to reset your password as well.
When they've been reset you can then use the steps on this page to view and/or update your rescue email address for potential future use : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5620
Or, if it's available in your country, you could change to 2-step verification : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5570
