Oct 3, 2014 8:11 PM in response to SPCWIncby Doctor_Master,I tried everything on here and nothing worked until I did the following. First, I disabled App Nap for Outlook as described above. Next, I quit Outlook, THEN deleted my Outlook KeyChain password. When I re-opened Outlook and re-entered my password and saved it in the KeyChain, Outlook continued to work fine, even after I quit back out of Outlook, or my computer went to sleep, etc. No more requests for my password. So, delete the Outlook KeyChain password when Outlook itself is closed.

Oct 25, 2014 8:40 AM in response to Mac2Gby JDS_S88,All,
I did the solution provided by Mac2G, but before I re-opened Outlook, I ran the 'Keychain First Aid' command within the Keychain Access app, which found that my Hotmail (imap acct) password keychain was corrupt.
I think app nap corrupts the keychain password, which in turn, causes Outlook to ask for the password. You can see how this becomes cyclical: You re-input your password and select the 'remember my password' box and everything is fine, until Outlook naps again... then your keychain password gets re-corrupted... so, when Outlook wakes, you have to re-enter your password again, and the annoyance continues...
In summary - I disabled App Nap for Outlook, closed Outlook, ran Keychain Access, executed the Keychain First Aid command, closed Keychain Access and then re-started Outlook. Problem solved - thanks Mac2G & redheadedtrumpet!

Nov 20, 2014 10:43 AM in response to callandqby mrlfromsf,I need help! I have this problem, too. I'm using iOS 10.7.5 on a MacMini & using Office 2011 for Mac with gmail. I've tried the various fixes mentioned here, but nothing seems to work. It's driving me crazy since the message comes up constantly. It only started a month ago and has gotten worse. Previously, I had no problems.
Would someone be so kind as to tell me what to do - step by step. Feel free to treat me like an idiot.
Thanks.

Dec 21, 2014 11:18 AM in response to SPCWIncby PGDesigns,Mac2G - You also saved my bacon
Last month I was using Mavericks and Thunderbird. No issues there. Then I performed the Yosemite update.
My MBP had constant overheating and other stability issues, under Yosemite, and I had to try and roll the machine back. Due to a (longwinded) issue with getting my email back into thunderbird, I decided to clean install Mavericks and do a (longwinded) port of my email into an unused copy of Outlook.
Now that I'm back with Mavericks, everything works great except for Outlook. Every fix-it site suggests the keychain repair, which only works for your current session. Wake from sleep/reboot, and I was back to be harassed for passcodes again. If only those sites have told me about PowerNap, I'd have solved this issue weeks ago.
thank you!
