Q: Anyone else have a blurry external monitor after 10.9.3?

My external monitor was fine in 10.9.2 and below, it runs at 2560x1080. After the update the update my whole screen was blurry. I checked the rosolution and it still says 2560x1080 and my color profile is still in place.

15" Retina MacBook Pro

Dell ultra wide screen monitor

*Monitor connected by a mini display port to display port cable

MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012), OS X Mavericks (10.9.3)

I already did before posting this thread in May I also called apple and got it escalated to development. Obviously nothing came of it as of yet.

That is for a different issue, this thread is simply for blurry monitors not colors being odd and color bleed like you get from YCbCr.

I have the same issue with all the above. I purchased a new Mac Mini and i have blurry fonts with my Dell U2412m. I noticed that this is a common issue with non retina displays, i really hope they fix this it makes surfing and working on a mac annoying.

Please file a bug at https://bugreport.apple.com -- Apple doesn't read these forums officially and filing a bug is the only way we have to provoke them into giving a scheiß (admittedly a pretty opaque and impotent way, but it's what we've got....)

Thanks, i created a bug report all tho i doubt if they are gonna see it. I found out in this old post that this is a common think especially to people that come from Windows environment (like me): http://www.atpm.com/12.01/paradigm.shtml. Is this a common issue with macs? Are indeed all the fonts more "blurred" because of the was Mac OSX renders them?
