Q: iPad Air on iTunes: "Capacity" dropped from 14.7GB to 12.8 after iOS 7.1.2 update.

I had a 16GB iPad Air that had a capacity of 14.7GB. I know preinstalled software and hardware took up the 1.3GB, but when I updated the iOS to iOS 7.1.2, the capacity changed to 12.8GB. That's a 1.9GB difference, more than all the preinstalled data! This is the first update I did on my iPad, by the way.

When I checked the device in Computer (aka My Computer in older systems) it says that the iPad still has 14.7GB. When I add up all the usage iTunes reports (the bar at the bottom with Music, Video, Other, etc), it adds up to 10.98GB that I'm using. My Computer says that 12.53GB of my iPad is being used up. What the **** did this update do? According to Apple, this update's supposed to be a few bug fixes, why the **** is something suddenly taking up almost 2GB extra?
