Q: Apple tv updated now will not connect to comptuer

Does anyone know if the last Apple TV Update ended support to 10.5 and 10.6?
Since the last update I cannot connect to my library

iPhone 4S, iOS 5.0.1, 10.68

    Hi Marion_d1040,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

Home Sharing should still work between your Apple TV and Apple computer. The following article explains the system requirements and has great troubleshooting steps to help you get this resolved.

    Verify system requirements

To use Home Sharing, you need the latest version of iTunes open on a computer that is not in sleep mode,* and one or more of the following devices on the same home network:

    Hello!

I have come across the same issue and chose your response to reply to since it seems to be the most recent- First, the set up at the house:

    MacBook Pro mid-2010- OSX 10.9.4

AppleTV Gen2- recent reset and upgrade

Belkin router- maybe this is the issue? no firewalls set and hasn't been an issue before.

    Two iPhones- 4s

iPad 3- Retina / WiFi only (set up with a different apple id- wife's iPad)- not trying to connect this, but Airplay won't show up either...

So- I have the same apple ID set up on the laptop, apple TV and my phone.  Home Sharing is set to the same account on all these devices and the AppleTV does not recognize any of them.  I do not see the Apple TV, nor the laptop, in the remote app on my phone.

I have the network set with a password in WPA/WPA2 mode and no firewall set up on with the router or the laptop...

    Help?

I've read through many comments about ipV6- but that seemed to be based on windows machines, I've read that a mid 2010 MacBook Pro doesn't have the guts to handle AirPlay as it has been updated, but home sharing shouldn't be an issue from what I see. I have restarted and restored the appleTV as well as logged everything out and back in again...

Not sure where to go from here- thanks for any guidance.
