Q: iPod froze, I reset it, and it began clicking in an unusual fashion, and a red X popped up telling me to go to apple.com/support/ipod

You may experience an issue on your iPod where the iPod will show a red "X" icon on the display as shown below:

 

Resolution

Restore iPod from Disk Mode

1. Disconnect iPod from your computer.
2. Manually put iPod into Disk Mode.
3. Open the latest version of iTunes and connect iPod.
4. Restore iPod.

Setup Service for iPod
