Aug 4, 2014 9:56 AM in response to fstopoverby Allan Jones,Did you unplug the eMac from the wall outlet while you were away? If so, the internal backup battery ("PRAM" battery, informally) is surely dead. Replacing it is an easy do-it-yourseld job; Apple's instructions are here:
