This what I did-
Settings>iCloud>Turn OFF Photostream sync>Turn ON Photostream sync
Make sure you are connected to Wifi, then click Storage>Back up now
Worked perfectly for me!

Aug 5, 2014 8:41 AM in response to razmee209by Eilene,Thanks for the informational links. The Apple Store set everything up for me and all devices have been working beautifully for about two years now. Photo Sharing is turned on but transfers are partial and spotty. Something has changed.

Aug 5, 2014 1:27 PM in response to matthew_cortezby Eilene,I did what you suggested. The 93 photos that were in my iPhone photo stream disappeared, then repopulated with 102. The problem is, I took 166 on vacation last week and only 97 have shown up on my Mac.

I am sorry to hear that, I wish it would have worked for you. Often times I notice that if I take multiple pictures in sequential order or pictures with the shutter feature, it only uploads some.If your concern is getting your vacation pictures secure, the best method is to plug in your iPhone to your computer and manually extract them, just as you would a flash drive.
