Q: Still cannot activate facetime after doing all steps indicated
Hi
Situation:
- Ipad, IOS 7.1.2
- I recently changed internet provider, so my email changed (which also implied my apple-id), and I have no longer access to email from previous provider
- I changed my apple ID which was former internet provider email to new one
- Apple ID is verified
- I have internet access through Wifi
- I updated IOS to 7.1.2
- I checked timezone.
Problem: Cannot activate facetime after apple-id change.
- When going to settings, facetime, providing new apple id to login, use password (which I verified to be correct by logging in into apple.com), it says "logging in".
- After a while I get one of the three common errors described in all the forums:
either:
Username/Password is incorrect (which is not the case)
or cannot activate
or no network, try again later (although I have internet access)
After retrying I get one of the three messages.....and do not get activated......
