Q: How to transfer MS software from iMac to iMac 2008?

I have iMac 2006,10.7.5 Lion and I would like to transfer my MS office 2011 to iMac 2008, 10.9.4.

I would appreciate if anyone advice me for a simple step to trainer the file.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.5), 17" monitor

    Reinstall it from the media on which you received it.

    Tky for the reply. I am looking for transferring connects with two computer. Is there any chance I can do this step?

    Both computers have Firewire ports. You can connect them via Firewire cable. Boot the source computer into Target Disk Mode and the other normally. The disk drive of the source computer will show up on the Desktop of the target computer (or vice-versa.) You can then transfer files via the Firewire connection. It's fast and reliable. Works with any Firewire ports as long as you have a cable for it.

     

    Is this what you wanted? Understand that what you are planning to do is considered illegal by MS because you can only have Office installed on one CPU at a time.

    I purchased a Firewaire cable, but not sure how to target disk mode from where?

    Would you please help me how to target from which menu or which an icon I I have to select?'

    Basicall I would like to transfer Maverick and MS office 2011 to iMac2008.

    I already have made all my personal file trafnfer to USB, so I am just need to transfer the Maverick to the 2008 iMac.

    The computer you want to transfer FROM should be booted into TDM by restarting it while holding down the "T" key. The other computer is booted normally. The disk drive of the TDM computer should appear on the Desktop. Use it to copy from like any other disk drive. Be sure you read the TDM link from above.
