Q: iMessage : I received iMessage from husband but he dose not send. Why?

I have twice this situation.

First time was about a month ago. We were in the store and I could not find him. I iMessaged "WHERE?". His response was "I do not have time right now." After I found him and asked what's the means. He told me he did not sent it. I checked his iPhone. There are no such a message. Well, when we back home, I checked his iPad, the message was there but data and time was 3 months old.

Second time was about a week ago. I was in the store and he stayed house. Got iMessage from him. It said "which number is the sprinkler system". Strange message! But I replied it. when I back home, asked him for which sprinkler system number he was asking. Again, he told me he did not send it. Now I looked back my iMessage, I can't find his message. I only see my reply message. And his iPad dose not have this message.

Dose anyone have same issue or dose anyone know why? Is my or his iMessage or hack, virus or??? I need help this issue. Thank you so much.

    Hello Zushi,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

To troubleshoot this issue, I'd like you to follow the steps below, and do the troubleshooting on your device and your husband's.

To resolve issues with sending and receiving iMessages, follow these steps

    1. Check iMessage system status for current service issues.
    2. Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and make sure that you registered iMessage with your phone number or Apple ID and that you selected iMessage for use. If the phone number or Apple ID isn't available for use, troubleshoot iMessage registration.
    3. Open Safari and navigate to www.apple.com to verify data connectivity. If a data connection isn't available, troubleshoot cellular data or a Wi-Fi connection.
    4. iMessage over cellular data might not be available while you're on a call. Only 3G and faster GSM networks support simultaneous data and voice calls. Learn which network your phone supports. If your network doesn't support simultaneous data and voice calls, go to Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi on to use iMessage while you're on a call.
    5. Restart your device.
    6. Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings on your iPhone.

If the issue persists, there is more troubleshooting in the article below.
