Check out the article below to download the purchase. If it has a cloud icon then you should be able to click it to download the songs or album. If it shows that it is downloaded, then it is in iTunes. You could also search your computer to find the files as well and then drag them on top of iTunes to import them in.

I took a look at the articles you mentioned above and checked all my details and they are correct but I am still am unable to redownload an album, it says "Purchased" and I can't do anything. The strange thing is that it's on my phone but not my ipad...

Aug 10, 2014 3:51 AM in response to Fullercjfby King_Penguin,You are in a country where music can be redownloaded, and the it doesn't show in the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app on your iPad, and the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage on your computer's iTunes for redownloading ? If it doesn't show there then check to see if the album is hidden : iTunes Store: Hiding and unhiding purchases
