Aug 10, 2014 7:23 AM in response to goodgrayby greg sahli,For one thing -you have to delete ( - ) the printer and then re-add the printer, in print & scan prefs to use it over wifi. Don't install anything - the driver should auto install.

Aug 10, 2014 7:27 AM in response to goodgrayby Barney-15E,I have no idea what the "message Ready Installer on Computer" is or means. Shouldn't be any need for anything to show up on your computer except in the Print & Scan System Prefs. See here: Mac Basics: Printing in OS X
Open up the Print & Scan System Prefs and see if the printer shows up. Note that if you set up a USB connection, you will also need to set up a separate WiFi Connection.

Aug 10, 2014 10:20 AM in response to goodgrayby Eric Root,If you have the printers IP address open Terminal applications/Utilities and at the prompt type: ping {printerIP}. You will get a reply or failure.
