    Hello there gerzejo,

From the iPhone User Guide found here http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf:

Invite others to an event: Tap an event, tap Edit, then tap Invitees to select people from Contacts.

Toward the top of page 68.

    Cheers,

    Sterling

When I create a new event, or edit a previously entered event, I do not have the option to "invite" anyone. I have the current OS on my iPhone 5. Is Apple IT working to resolve this issue?

I am trying to send an invite from the calendar on my iPhone to a "shared" user within the house.  Is this possible?  They also have an iPhone.

The manual says there should be a field below the date and time fields to "Invite Attendee."  I do not have that field in any event. Is there an update to correct this issue?  I see there are many discussions on this topic in the Apple forums with no solution.

when I set my calendar to an exchange one an invitee  button appears right below the repeat button. When I switch it to a non exchange calendars the invitee button goes away

this is on an  iPhone 5s running 7.1.2

I am only interested in inviting an attendee using the Apple calendar using my iPhone 5, that is using the most current OS. The Apple calendar does not have the option to invite attendees. I am curious if Apple plans to fix this issue or not. The instruction manual that came with my iPhone says there should be an option to invite an attendee below the date and time details of an event. The Apple calendar is not an exchange calendar.

The only documentation that comea withe iPhone is a quick start guide. The full manual is online. The section on the calendar says:

    Invitations

If you have an iCloud account, a Microsoft Exchange account, or a supported CalDAV account, you can send and receive meeting invitations.

so if you calendar is not one of the above (on the server side) is not one of the above you can't send invitations

As to when Apple will add the ability we are all just users so we would have no idea but it's not up to apple as it's having the support for invitations in the underlying calendar system
