Q: iMac Magic Mouse not working

The wireless keyboard is working but the magic mouse is not working. The magic mouse has new batteries and it is ON but is not working. To type, I am using a hard wire mouse. Why is the magic mouse not working?

iMac (27-inch Mid 2011), Mac OS X (10.7.5)

I have had the same problem.  The batteries were fine (tried 3 sets, chargeable and rechargeable).  The little green light did not flash. Triied my husbands and it worked fine.  Looks like a new mouse for me.

Magic Mouse is fine but this is actually batteries problem. You should buy GP PowerPlus Heavy Duty batteries . I using it without any problem. Cheap batteries won't do .

Why indeed? I have just replaced the Duracell batteries in my Mouse with two Panasonics and guess what? The Mouse is now working properly. But, and there is always a but, many other people who have had a problem with their Mouse have found that Duracell batteries  are not the problem!!!
