I have the same problem. Its been happening all night. Is Apple doing maintenance? If so what time in GMT?

No, Apple is not performing maintenance.  All green >  Apple - Support - System Status

Make sure your computer meets iTunes requirements mentioned previously on this thread.

I'm having the same problem on a brand new Windows 8.1 laptopcomputer.  I have AVAST as my virus protection.  Could that be the reason I can't download?  Like others comments here, I click on the green button to download and nothing happens!

You may want to try this on your browser.  Blocked pop-ups by Explorer could be the problem!
